Veranstaltungsreihe in NRW zum Sudan:
Krieg gegen Revolution und Graswurzelbewegungen
Revolutionäre Nachbarschaftskomitees – Feministische Kämpfe – Queere Kämpfe – Arbeiter*innenbewegung – “Nein zum Krieg”
Für linke Graswurzelbewegungen weltweit ist die Revolution im Sudan wichtiger Bezugspunkt und Inspirationsquelle. Besonders hervorzuheben sind der Grad der Organisierung von unten durch Nachbarschaftskomitees und die zentrale Rolle der Frauenbewegung.
Seit Ende 2018 gehen die Menschen im Sudan massenhaft für den Umsturz des repressiven Systems auf die Straße. Ein Diktator wurde gestürzt, zwei Neue griffen sich die Macht. Massaker, Staatsstreiche, Verhandlungen, nichts konnte bislang die Revoltierenden stoppen.
Mit Anerkennung und Unterstützung durch externe Mächte wie EU und BRD versuchen seit April 2023 Militär und Milizen in einem wahnsinnigen Krieg gegeneinander die revolutionäre Bewegungen zu zermalmen.
In der Veranstaltung werden Sara und Marwan, zwei Aktivist*innen von SudanUprising Deutschland, über verschiedene Aspekte der Revolution berichten:
- Die Geschichte, die politische Perspektive und die aktuelle Praxis der Nachbarschaftskomitees und was wir daraus lernen können.
- Infos über feministische Kämpfe, Queer-Kämpfe und die Arbeiterbewegung, insbesondere deren Verbindung zur revolutionären Bewegung
- Inwiefern ist der aktuelle Krieg im Sudan ein Produkt der Konterrevolution? Wie hat er sich auf das revolutionäre Projekt im Sudan ausgewirkt?
- Warum nehmen die Nachbarschaftskomitees und andere revolutionäre Gremien eine “Nein zum Krieg”-Haltung ein und warum werden sie wegen dieser Haltung zunehmend angegriffen?
- Welche Rolle spielen die europäischen Länder und die EU in der aktuellen Situation?
- Wie kann praktische globale Solidarität funktionieren, um die Revolution zu verteidigen und die Bedürfnisse der Menschen im Sudan zu erfüllen?

Series of events in NRW on Sudan:
War against Revolution and Grassroots Movements
Revolutionary neighborhood committees – Feminist struggles – Queer struggles – Workers* movement – “No to war”
For leftist grassroots movements worldwide, the revolution in Sudan is an important point of reference and source of inspiration. Particularly noteworthy are the degree of organizing from below through neighborhood committees and the central role of the feminist movement.
Since late 2018, people in Sudan have taken to the streets en masse to overthrow the repressive system. One dictator was overthrown, two new ones grabbed power. Massacres, coups, negotiations, nothing has been able to stop the revolters so far.
With recognition and support from external powers such as the EU and FRG, the military and militias have been trying to crush the revolutionary movements in a mad war against each other since April 2023.
In the event two activists of SudanUprising Germany will report about different aspects of the revolution: Revolutionary Neighborhood Committees, feminist struggles, queer struggles, workers* movement and a clear “No to War”.
Practical global solidarity and the role of European countries and the EU will also be addressed.
In this event, Sara and Marwan, activists from SudanUprising Germany, will report on the different aspects of the revolution:
- The history, the political perspective and the current practices of the neigbourhood commitees and what can we learn from them.
-Feminist-struggles, queer-struggles and the workers’ movements, especially their connection to the revolutionary movement.
- In what ways is the current war in Sudan a product of the counter-revolution? How has it affected the revolutionary project in Sudan?
- Why are the resistance committees and other revolutionary bodies taking a “no to the war” stance and why are they under increasing attacks for taking this position?
- What role do European countries and the EU play in the current situation?
- How can practical global solidarity work to defend the revolution and address the needs of the people in Sudan?
